The maritime city of Kotka offers excellent conditions for studying.
The distance from Helsinki to
Kotka is only about 130 km, which can be covered by car in just over an
hour. The Kotka campus is located in the city centre at Kantasatama,
right by the sea.
About 3,500 future professionals
in technology, social and health care, maritime studies and logistics,
as well as game design, study on the campus. Thanks to the new campus,
the classrooms, laboratories and other specialized
facilities, along with self-study areas, are comfortable and modern.
In Kotka, our research and
development work focuses for example on controlled, safe and
user-friendly cybersecurity, as well as the development of oil spill
response.
Next to the campus, located
close to the city centre, you’ll find venues such as the Satama Arena
event centre and the Maritime Centre Vellamo.
